Oh, this is easy. Leader of the Band, by Dan Fogelberg. He unknowingly wrote a song about the two men that had the biggest positive influences on me, my father and my first high school band director.

Couple the admiration I have for these two music men, and my feelings of inadequacy about my own musical skills and you begin to see why I sob every time I hear this song. 🙂
