The death toll has reportedly hit 60. But stop and actually think about what that means.

60 people.

60 families.

60 groups of friends.

60 first days at school.

60 first visits to the dentist.

60 first crushes.

60 first kisses.

60 first nights out.

60 sets of dreams.

60 sets of hopes and fears.

60 tomorrows.

All over because of 1 assault rifle. It’s just too much for me to even get my head around.

original tweet

i haven’t seen this on my dashboard yet (so apologies if it’s circulated already), but i’ve seen cody agnew/ the man who posted that there were multiple attackers at Pulse circulated around and do NOT trust his posts.

below are examples of him lying to four different girls that he’s dying and they’re the love of his life, and upon checking this man’s facebook page it’s obvious he seems to enjoy lying about stories for attention

Words cannot put into accurate description how furious I am. I’m shaking someone would make up such a lie, I’m shaking someone would use the lives of innocent people to fear monger and get attention on the internet, I’m shaking someone would exploit a tragedy that involves fellow LGBT people being killed in a spot that was supposed to be considered their own

if you see Cody Agnew’s post floating around don’t spread it, I’m disgusted and outraged this is nothing more than a drama fest to some people.

what happened?

Omar Mateen acted alone in shooting over 100 people at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida at 2am Sunday morning

Omar had a 3 hour standoff with police, and was eventually shot dead

50 were killed, 53 were injured

this is the worst mass shooting America has seen

this is the worst act of terrorism since 9/11

police say Omar was organized and well prepared

he was armed with an assault rifle, a handgun and an unspecified “device”

this was an act of terror and hate

things to remember.

it was latin night last night at Pulse

the night was being hosted by trans women of color

-do not erase the fact that this was a hate crime against people in the lgbt+ community

-be respectful to the families affected by this tragedy

-some people could have been outed if they were killed or injured

Omar’s father has stated that Omar was indeed homophobic and became angry after seeing two men kissing

this shooting had nothing to do with religion

here are some tweets about this tragedy from various people

-support everyone in this time of need. please

-there have been threats on other places such as the LA pride parade. please be careful.
