No way it definitely averages out to Skywind

Pokemon Go and classic Doom… Uh oh.

C&C: Yuri’s Revenge and Hearthstone

Wildstar and Bioshock: Infinite?

Overwatch and World of Warcraft so… the original MMO that turned into what Overwatch is now…….

World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2. WoW with GW2 combat system? Could be interesting. The character customization would be fantastic.

-Overlooked Card of the Day: Limited Resources

-Average price on tcgplayer.com ($0.50)

-Why is it good?

-Limited Resources is a one drop that can devastate the board state at almost any point of the game. It does extremely well in a deck with a very low mana curve, and it can stop your opponents from playing almost any giant creatures or board wipes. Also, Limited Resources says that you can’t PLAY lands; however, if you load your deck with cards that put lands directly into play, then you can end up having more cards than all of the other players, greatly improving your board state.

-My Thoughts

-In my opinion, Limited Resources can, and will, win you games. If you make a deck with either a very low mana curve, or one that cheats lands into play, then you will almost always have an advantage over your opponents.

-Overall, I believe Limited Resources should be used more often, as it can give you a large board advantage, it prevents your opponents finishers, and it is essentially a Balance for lands.

This is a cool card in EDH for a few reasons. It can balance games and bring a game back under control. However, the biggest reason for its use is to keep opponents from having an arbitrarily large amount of mana. In the throes of a long EDH game, it can be painful to play knowing that no matter what an opponent does on their turn, they’ll always have enough mana to respond to whatever you play, whether it’s killing it on the spot or countering it (*glares at mono blue control*). Props to @overlookedmtg for bringing this to my attention.

this card is literally banned in EDH

Hey, Steam now lets you blacklist user-defined tags in your discovery queue.

Neat!

*immediately blacklists “zombies”*

(Now if only there were a well-defined tag for “obvious Terraria clone” that I could blacklist, that’d be two birds with one stone…)

also:

  • “obvious Minecraft clone”
  • “has the graphics and complexity of a 2006 Newgrounds Flash game for $15″
  • “contains two or more tags from: Survival, Crafting, Sandbox, Procedurally-Generated”
  • “fourth installment in a story-heavy series you have never touched in your life”
  • “has the word Simulator or Tycoon in the title and was made after 2005″
  • “has the word Sakura in the title…… ever”
  • “has one or more gameplay mechanics related to breasts”
  • “Pixel art graphics by somebody who does not know how to do pixel art properly”
  • “decent game but you will find out a month later that the creator is a constant asshole on Twitter and feel bad for supporting them”

Ooh, or how about:

  • “dungeon-crawler whose promo blurb uses the words ‘procedural’ and ‘revolutionary’ in the same sentence″
  • “box art is just a close-up of the protagonist’s breasts“

  • “conceals bloated price point by exploiting the fact that Steam sorts episodic titles by the price of the first episode rather than the price of the whole game”
  • “PS Vita port crudely upscaled to 1080p using a nearest-neighbor filter”
  • “has female protagonist; plot, exposition and development focus entirely on male supporting characters“
  • “has been in Early Access for three and a half years and still doesn’t have its menu UI figured out“
  • “wants to be the next Goat Simulator
  • “contains nominally adult woman character who looks like a nine-year-old because of Reasons“
  • “GRITTY REALISM (i.e. we would like to justify being sexist as hell)”
  • “It’s okay because we’re spouting memes ironically
  • “Advertises a varied, interesting female cast; insists on a generic, faceless male lead”
  • “We localised our game by running it through Google Translate”
  • “Episode 1 out now! Episode 2 to be released some time in the next decade”
  • “First review sings the game’s praises in spite of only having 5 minutes of playtime”
  • “next-gen breast physics”

  • “weird-ass Objectivist ranting”
  • “first hour of play consists of unskippable tutorial”
  • “contains cute female protagonist and and long, detailed death animations – like, concerningly detailed“
  • “in-game DLC store sells crafting materials for real money"
  • “cliffhanger ending; developer defunct“
  • “interface screw during final boss fight“
