I just want to say that the grueling and expensive visa process was all worth it and I’m #blessed to be here with Europe tonight.
Okay we all make a lot of fun of Eurovision and it’s a wonderfully weird show, but it’s also very important to remember that Eurovision was invented in post-war Europe as a way to allow European countries to come together in a fun, light-hearted, and entertaining way.
So it’s not just a way for us to be silly, it’s a way for us to be silly together after years and years where being silly and funny and free wasn’t allowed.
